2015 Toyota Rav4 Review: What It Has That The Competition Doesn’t

You should know something about our family and Toyota. We own 3, one of which has just over 330,000 miles and still going strong! My parent-in-law own 2. My sister- and brother-in-law own a Toyota and a Lexus. We’re kind of a Toyota family. We seriously considered taking Toyota’s advice and creating a Christmas card with all of us in a line next to our Toyotas.

Did I mention my father-in-law works at a Toyota dealership?

Despite our owning several Toyotas, we still get a little excited when we get to test drive new ones. Recently, we parked the 2015 Toyota Rav 4 in our drive and it fit perfectly in our collection of Toyota vehicles.

What I love about the Rav 4 that we drove is that it wasn’t loaded with bells and whistles (ours was the XLE model). It was a simpler SUV with just the right amount of features. Honestly, when we buy a Toyota, we’re doing so based on their reliability, not the technology and features. That being said, we still like to see that plenty of tech and fun features are included!

First of all, I definitely notice a much quieter drive compared to my 2010 Toyota Camry. The comfort and styling is amazing and the price is definitely right! Considering Toyota’s reputation for long lasting durability, the XLE starting price of around $25,240 is ridiculously affordable!

The biggest competition for the Toyota Rav4 is the Honda CRV. That being said, the Rav4 does offer MORE cubic feet of storage – something that is extremely important to me as a mom – and more front legroom. This we love because my husband is very tall. We notice perks like this! It should be noted that the 2015 Toyota Rav4 is costs slightly less than Honda, too.

Overall, we loved driving the Rav4 so much that it has us seriously considering the upgrade. The kids found it incredibly easy to get in and out of, so they gave it their thumbs up, too.
