We’ve spent a lot of time researching Google Chromecast and other streaming devices. Here are 3 reasons why our family prefers Chromecast for streaming.
It’s quite funny if you think about it. Growing up, we had just a few channels and I was able to enjoy cartoons on Saturday mornings only.
Now, my kids have satellite television, cable, Netflix, Hulu, and so much more. Nearly anything your want to watch is available at the press of a button or an audible request. It’s not just the kids that enjoy the freedom of watching our favorite television shows, either. We’re just as spoiled, especially now that we have Google Chromecast.
Google Chromecast Actually Listens To Me
Did you know that with Google Chromecast, you can start streaming your favorite shows and movies with just your voice?
“Ok Google, play Stranger Things from Netflix on my living room TV.” ¹
Just say what you want to watch from compatible apps and control your TV hands-free because Chromecast and Google Home working seamlessly together.²
It’s like being able to expand your home entertainment without buying a new TV. And, for only $35 – and with the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee – it’s so affordable, you can get one for every TV in the house.
Google Chromecast Has All Of My Favorite Things
With Google Chromecast plugged into our HDMI port on each of our televisions, we can easily watch our favorite movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, and even stream photos! Yep, that means if you’re planning on a visit, you should also plan on watching my 20 minute video of our honeymoon in Ireland.
We all know where those pesky HDMI ports are on our televisions – ours has so many and I’ve no idea why. But, thankfully, both of our televisions had at least one free for our new Chromecasts.
I Can Actually Stream From My Phone
Yeah, you read that right. Once you plug your Chromecast into the HDMI port on your TV you can stream right from your phone with just a tap.
I’m on my phone more often that any device in my house, so now I can watch shows, listen to playlists, and more. And while streaming, I can still use your phone as I normally would.
Enjoy TV shows, movies, videos, songs, games, sports and more from over 2000 apps like Netflix, YouTube, YouTube TV, and HBO NOW.
Of course, it also means my husband can stream from his phone so my shows are now interrupted with whatever random video he thinks is hilarious on YouTube.
