As odd as it sounds, the holidays are truly the best time for kids to eat and to experiment with foods. If your family is like ours, they’re presented with what is literally a smorgasbord variety of fruits, vegetables and creative dishes that your family has worked together to prepare.
Instead of just one choice for mealtime, the holidays present kids with what seems like an endless choice of dishes! And, because they’re being presented to your family, they’re usually pretty in their presentation so the dishes are more appealing to kids.
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Everyone’s Thanksgiving can vary as much as everyone’s every day dinner. Say that three times fast. For a main dish, our family has enjoyed turkey, ham and even prime rib. Of course, not on the same Thanksgiving, but we like to mix it up. My family makes traditional dishes like the delicious Green Bean Casserole with Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup and those yummy French’s onions on top!
My grandma makes these potatoes called “Green Potatoes” which sound disgusting by are my favorite. It’s mashed potatoes with a box of frozen spinach (drained and dried) topped with shredded cheddar cheese and baked. It’s so good and cheesy!
Of course, if you’re looking for new traditions or it’s your first time hosting Thanksgiving, you can always turn to Campbell Soup Company to help you find the perfect Thanksgiving recipe! And you can always call on our friend, The Wisest Kid to ask if you’re forgetting anything on your Thanksgiving table. Our friends at Campbell always have great ideas on their Facebook page, too.
