I am grateful that my job includes events with Disney. I am thrilled beyond belief that one of these events that I get to cover for my site is the D23 Expo! I am one of 25 bloggers chosen for an all-expense paid trip to Anaheim to get a sneak peek at new Disney Studios films, see this year’s Disney Legends ceremony, and strut around in the most awesome handmade Evil-inspired tutu that I’ve ever made. The only one I’ve made. And it’s all for this event; the event of the YEAR!
Trust me, it’s a big deal for me to say that as I am a HUGE Star Wars fan and the newest film hits theaters this December.
What Is The D23 Expo?
Imagine a ComicCon for serious Disney, Marvel, and Pixar fans. This expo, held only once every two years, combines all the magic and excitement of the past, present, and future of Disney entertainment under one roof.
It’s a celebration for their most passionate and loyal fans with three full days of “inside-the-magic” experiences you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll find exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming films from The Walt Disney Studios, celebrity appearances, unforgettable presentations given by Disney luminaries, a look at what’s coming from Disney Parks and Resorts and Walt Disney Imagineering, the Disney Legends ceremony, and the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibition, which spotlights crown jewels from Disney’s timeless legacy.
It’s A Summer Of Heroes
As far as Marvel fans are concerned, every summer is a great summer for heroes!
There will be work to be done during this event, too. For two nights during the event, you’ll find me at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park celebrating the “Summer of Heroes!” I’ve NEVER BEEN TO DISNEYLAND. I’ve never been to Disney California Adventure park. I’ve never tried a Dole Whip… this all stuff I have to work on.
This is the ultimate time to be the ultimate super hero. To meet your heroes face-to-face, save the world with Captain America, or even summon your courageous side when you (not me!) ride the all new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
The New Duck Tales, Woo-Hoo!
The animated series Duck Tales and its theme song were a huge part of my childhood. I can’t wait to join Disney XD for a screening of the first episode of the new animated series “DuckTales!” We’ll also take part in a Q&A with executive producer Matt Youngberg and co-producer and story editor Francisco Angones.
Dream come true – I will be diving into Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin and you DO NOT want to miss those photos!
