One of the summer’s more recent Disney press trip inspired me to build a butterfly garden and raise Monarch butterflies. This month, my husband is really hoping that he doesn’t wake up to a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge in our backyard.
I’m going to San Francisco! And, you won’t believe the places we will go.
The One With So Many Feelings: #InsideOutBloggers
While in San Francisco, I’ll have the honor of attending a special press day for the In-Home release of INSIDE OUT, the most popular Disney movie since Frozen. In fact, Inside Out made more it’s opening weekend than did Disney’s Frozen and isn’t too far behind in overall gross sales. If you’ve seen it, you know why – everyone loved it. So, of course you’ve pre-ordered your copy, available on Blu-ray and Digital HD on November 3rd.
We’ll also interview filmmakers and voice talent from both INSIDE OUT as well as the all-new short film entitled “Riley’s First Date?” It hasn’t been reveled which talent we’ll be interviewing, but with a cast like Mindy Kaling (who I’m pretty sure is my spirit animal), Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and more, we’re sure to be in for some laughs and a few great interviews.
The One With The Dinosaur: #GoodDinoEvent
Disney press trips always hold a few surprises and this time, we’ll get a sneak peek at Pixar and screen footage from THE GOOD DINOSAUR which opens in theaters on November 25th. We’ll also enjoy a screening of the short film “Sanjay’s Super Team”!
The One With Google: #MilesEvent
As if all this excitement isn’t enough, I’ll also attend a press day at Pixar for THE GOOD DINOSAUR including interviews with filmmakers, animators and a tour of Pixar – how cool is that?. That evening, you will travel to the Google Headquarters (OMG, what?!) for a screening of Disney Junior’s MILES FROM TOMORROWLAND followed by a panel focusing on the importance of encouraging kids, especially girls, to explore STEM fields and how entertainment can play an important role.
That alone is pretty exciting! Disney, Pixar, and Marvel have always been HUGE supporters of STEM field education, especially when it comes to the little ladies, so as the mother of a little lady myself, I love this.
The One With Walt Disney’s Family: #Waltagram
Before we head home, we’ll also get to visit The Walt Disney Family Museum. Disney was always known for having his eye on the future, and he has such a rich family history, so I’m excited to see this amazing museum so close to the Golden Gate Bridge, one of San Francisco’s most well-known landmarks.
Be sure to follow the hashtags #InsideOutBloggers, #Waltagram, #GoodDinoEvent, and #MilesEvent from September 29th – October 2 for exclusive news and photos! Make sure to follow us on Instagram for awesome photos, as well as @AsMomSeesIt on Twitter and we’ll see you in San Francisco!
