We’re hosting the family dinner again this Christmas Eve, so already we’re preparing the menu, decorating the house, and getting everything prepped for when our family visits. I’m trying to take every shortcut I can so that I can spend as much time with family as possible.
Thankfully, this is when my Sam’s Club membership comes in handy. Did you know that if you’re Sam’s Club member, they can help you find extra time during the holidays?
Their new Scan & Go mobile app allows members to use their smartphone to scan and pay for items, which means you save so much time by being able to skip the register line! This is where we spend much of our time anyway… that, and the candy aisles, if you’re like my husband.
How The Sam’s Club Scan & Go App Works
As you add each item to your cart, use the app to scan the barcode. If you can’t find the barcode, you can use the lookup feature to easily find the item. You can see a running total of your items as you shop and once you’re done shopping, you can use the app to pay for the items. Just show your e-receipt to the greeter as you leave and you’re shopping is done!
Imagine being able to order a fresh turkey or ham, ready-to-go appetizers, and tastes-like-homemade desserts, being able to scan them, and pay for them, without having to walk through the store or stand in line. Honestly, just being able to scan-and-go anytime, even when it’s not the holidays, is a huge bonus for me!
And, you don’t have to use the app just for the holidays. Anytime you’re at Sam’s Club, you can check out using the app. I used the app recently just so I could keep track of my spending and stay under budget.
The Sam’s Club Scan & Go App can be downloaded for either an iOS or Android device. It’s free to all Sam’s Club members, regardless of your membership level. The only items that are exempt from the Scan & Go app are alcohol, tobacco, jewelry, pharmacy prescriptions and gift cards.
