Summer is the ideal time of year to enjoy a delicious fresh seafood dish. If you’re lucky enough to enjoy your favorite seafood dish by the seashore, then consider your summer a definite win! However, if you’re like me and need a few amazing seafood dishes to make you feel as though you’re vacationing by the beach, then we have just the recipes for you!

Health Benefits To Eating Summer Seafood Recipes

There are many benefits to eating seafood besides feeling as though you’re vacationing seaside. Seafood is a good source of protein, vitamins and minerals. The Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA aid in the prevention of common chronic diseases. It also promotes healthy eye and brain development in children and helps prevent the risk of heart disease in adults.

What If I Hate Seafood? Ideal Summer Seafood Recipes

The key to eating a healthy diet that includes seafood is finding an ideal way to prepare it. You might also try less “fishy” fish, like Arctic char instead of salmon and flounder and haddock are mild fish and easy to find. One of my favorites is Tilapia because it’s boneless and has a neutral flavor. All of these are great for eating with a little lemon and dill or to add to a recipe.

Any time you add fish to a recipe, you’ll find that other flavors of the meal “drown” out (see what I did there) the fishy flavors that some people don’t like. Try a few of these summer seafood recipes and let us know which one was your favorite!
