Snow Joe Knows Snow: Our Snow Joe Review In Heavy, Wet, Icy Snow

Here we are, now mid-January, and I’m looking at our first real snow fall. Mind you, we’ve all been complaining that we’ve not seen but a few flakes, maybe an inch or two of accumulation, nor did we see the white Christmas we all hoped for. Now that it’s here, schools are closing, parents are going nuts, people have forgotten how to drive, and we’re complaining as we have to bundle up for the cold and snowfall measured in feet, not inches.

I like none of those things. But, I do love our new Snow Joe Cordless Snow Blower! Playing with new toys is always fun, even in the snow.

We received the Snow Joe iON18SB-HYB Cordless & Electric Hybrid Snow Blower to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own and were not influenced.

The Snow Joe iON18SB Cordless & Electric Hybrid Snow Blower the first single stage snow blower to operate on a 40 V 4.0 Ah EcoSharp® rechargeable lithium-ion battery or corded 13.5-amp electric power. A single battery provides up to 40 minutes of very quiet run time with zero carbon emissions!

We love that on the handle is a 3W LED light to help see your path when days get darker earlier. It’s lightweight, but definitely packs some powerful snow-moving ability!

A powerful steel auger with 2 rubber blades moves up to 500 lbs of snow per minute with a path that’s 18 in. wide by 8 in. deep. That’s a lot of snow for something so small. Seriously!

Snow Joe snow blower moves even the wettest snow

We LOVE the 180° auto-rotate directional chute that throws snow up to 20 ft. Even when we were clearing heavy, wet, and ice laden snow from our walks and driveway, it was still doing a bang up job. There was a little sliding around on our part, but considering how heavy the snow was, the path was pretty cleared with one swipe.

The Snow Joe iON18SB Cordless & Electric Hybrid Snow Blower  is ETL approved, comes with a full 2 year warranty and is Energy Star certified. For more information, or to purchase, visit their site.
